Cinch Financial Mobile App
Cinch Financial’s goal is to democratize financial intelligence. They believe that super-intelligent software, acting only in the service of you and your needs, can fix the current imbalance and asymmetry between you, your financial life, and the financial industry. That this is the gateway to true financial independence and health.
I partnered with Cinch Financial in their early stages, helping craft their mobile strategy and digital offerings. Through a Google Ventures style design sprint, we collectively designed and prototyped a chatbot style application, aimed at walking customers through some of the tough financial decisions they need to make; decisions like “what credit card should I sign up for?”, “where should I distribute my money for best long-term growth?”, or “how should I make this large purchase?”.
Creative Ways to Communicate and Learn
Through canned responses mixed with freeform typing, users could come to personalized answers on all their financial questions. Recommendations and solutions would be served up in widgets like the one seen here.
These widgets could be expanded to see all the details of the offer/advice given. In some cases, actions such as applying for credit cards could be done directly through the widget.
