Swift Office Hours

As a part of a larger outreach initiative, Intrepid kicked off a series of talks around iOS development and specifically the use of Swift. In order to bring the concept and group to life, I designed a logo, brand, and collateral for the group to use for advertising and marketing their event. The group went on to host more than 20 events over the span of 2 years; typically hosting 1 event per month.

SOHI Branding

We wanted the Swift Office Hours (at Intrepid) branding to reflect both the Swift language branding, but also the overall aesthetic of Intrepid. In order to accomplish this, I took the bird and color from the Swift branding and combined that with the concept of a NASA Mission Badge to play off of the space theme Intrepid had.

Posters, Social, & Outcomes

To help with getting the word out, we printed and distributed posters across Boston and Cambridge to reach as broad and large an audience as possible. We landed on a style that allowed us to change the colors based on where we were hosting, the company the main speaker was from, or the time of the year. Through a mix of posters, social media advertising, and word of mouth, we were able to grow the event to eventually be something that upwards of 50 non-Intrepid developers, designers, and tech enthusiasts.
