Everybody Fights Mobile App
EverybodyFights, a boxing gym run by George Foreman III, needed to create more uniform experiences across their gym locations. The famous boxer’s workout expertise differentiates the gym from other fitness centers, so it was important to equip trainers with a means to implement Foreman’s workout regiment. To do so, we designed and built the BOXFIIT app and TV streaming counterpart, which help trainers run boxing-style workouts and update gym-goers on the exercise and current round.
Facilitating Boxing-Style Workouts
Foreman’s workouts require trainers to juggle multiple elements: timers, music, current exercise, and more. With Spotify integration and pre-populated workouts, the iOS app serves as a remote of sorts, helping trainers manage the different elements, while ensuring only the most relevant and important workout information is displayed to gym goers. Trainers were also able to use a desktop content management application to create and build new customized workouts, which the iOS app would structure into boxing-style workouts.
An External Display Component: The TV Counterpart
Along with the mobile app, we designed and built an external display component that streams important workout information—such as the remaining time in an exercise and details about the current exercise—to the gym TVs.
Running a boxing style workout requires constantly checking the clock; each interval contains a series of timed rounds. To solve, we incorporated the orange branding of the gym into the app, and used the color to help to signal to gym goers when they were nearing the end of a round.
